Family Learning Easter 2008

It isn't often an artist has the opportunity to meet
families and to be able to share her skills with them but for the Easter
Break the Education Department at Hampton Court Palace facilitated an
exciting opportunity for families to work with Rachel Gadsden in the
Wren studio in the new Clore Learning Centre at the Palace to create
individual canvases utilizising the art techniques that Rachel uses
to create her own paintings.
The results were astounding, Mothers and Fathers were as enthusiastic
as the younger participants, and with the support of the Education Depatment
and Hampton Court Volunteers who helped Rachel throughout the 4 days,
250 participants went home with an artwork on canvas, and all for free!
